Scaling Full Moons CBD Smokes

When you start a company or a brand, people often ask you about the future.

Questions arise such as - "What do you for-see happening to your company?" "What direction do you want to take it?" yada yada...

So, naturally.. when I birthed Full Moons into existence circa 2018, I was asked about the future.

Let me shed light on a little context before I reveal my answer - just so you get a sense of how 'out of left field' the answer really was.

I have no formal education, my prior business was labor based (silversmithing), my work ethic was not strong and my current business partners were technically strangers.

I really surprised myself when I answered the question of - "What will you do with Full Moons?" with a steady statement.

My answer was "I'm gonna sell it into Big Tobacco."

I have been following that idea for the past 7 years and there wasn't a glimmer of hope until 2023. It was then that I met my current manufacturers - The Firebirds.

The owner and I do not remember how we were introduced.

(if you know me, you will find this fact to be hilarious and very on brand for my personality)

I remember not wanting to like the company because they were Tobacco and I still wanted to believe that weed people could make a better cigarette.

I remember an early phone call or email with the owner where I was a bit rude and made the assumption that their blend tasted like garbage.

He then told me we shouldn't speak until I had found some time to smoke their packs.

I was shipped three blends.

I chain smoked three packs in 3 days and returned with feedback that sang the tune of "your shit is better than mine."

Meeting this company was a huge step forward because prior to meeting them - I was not ever going to be able to scale or survive. I had been hand packing cigarettes and buying rogue crops quite chaotically. Which I loved and believe added to the grit and charm of my bleeding company.

But in all honesty I was ready to quit, just before meeting the Firebirds.

They say that's when the most brilliant things happen...just as your near your edge.

I went from being able to make 100 packs a week to 1,000 cartons in 2 days with their help and expertise and industrialized machinery. The Firebirds are in a ghastly transition themselves. One I predicted with little to no experience or knowledge.

Over the next decade.. I want to see cannabis cigarettes, hemp cigarettes and spliff cigarettes stocked globally. Which I am legally required to brand "smokes."

The word "cigarettes" is not legal to brand.

If you were to ask me now... "What do you see happening for your company?"

I would answer "I see a world where cigarettes play a role in reparation. I see cannabis, hemp and spliff blends on shelves. I see them branded under my businesses name."

I think weed can save.. some part of the world.

Let's see what happens.
